Nutritional Consulting

What is a Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner?
Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioners (RNCP) are professionals trained in holistic nutrition and complementary therapies. RNCPs can educate you about the benefits of a sound nutritional program and healthy lifestyle to encourage your body to achieve optimum health and energy.

Did you know that every person is biochemically unique?   RNCPs can assess individual nutritional imbalances and weaknesses to enhance your immune system and recommend specific diets and nutritional support to help you build and maintain well-being.

Confused and frustrated with trying to figure out what diet is the healthiest for you?  RNCPs can help you make the best possible food choices. It is important to eat a variety of foods to ensure all essential nutrients are included in the diet. An RNCP will introduce new dietary habits, incorporating the latest nutritional breakthroughs. However, it may be difficult to achieve optimal health through food alone. In such cases, RNCPs are also trained to design personalized dietary supplement programs.

What is a Registered Orthomolecular Health Practitioner ™?

Registered Orthomolecular Health Practitioner™, or ROHP, is the designation given by the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants (IONC) to a qualified healthcare professional that specializes in maintaining or restoring biochemistry and physiology in the body for optimal health and wellbeing.

Orthomolecular Health Practitioners assess the unique dietary and nutritional requirements of an individual and utilize a full spectrum of customized naturopathies including: diet and nutritional supplements, detoxification and drainage.

Only practitioners who meet IONC standards may refer to themselves as a Registered Orthomolecular Health Practitioner ™.

RNCPs are certified by the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants. IONC is a voluntary, non-profit, incorporated organization. It was founded in 1983 to create public awareness about holistic nutritional consulting and to regulate the standards of education for holistic nutritional consultants. Qualifications for those who apply for professional membership as RNCPs are independently assessed.  By law, anyone may call themselves a nutritional counsellor, but only those who have thoroughly studied nutrition and have met the requirements of IONC are granted the RNCP designation.

A visit with an RNCP will be an educational experience where you will learn to make lifestyle changes that have a long lasting effect on your quality of life.

Many extended health care plans are now covering RNCP & ROHP service fees for IONC members.
